The FSB of Russia is counting on former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Vitaliy Zakharchenko in the forthcoming elections of the "DNR" leader. This is written in one of the pro-Russian Telegram channels with reference to anonymous sources in the administration of Vladimir Putin.
"Our source in the Presidential Administration reports that the topic of selecting a leadership team in the "DNR" has "overstepped" the entourage of V.Surkov. Since the appointment of D.Pushilin as new provisional "head of the DNR", consultations with the participation of representatives of the Presidential Administration, officers of the special services, officials of the Rostov oblast and representatives of the "DNR" are being held almost daily in Moscow and Rostov-on-Don", - the message said.
The sources allegedly report that "there are 2 main candidates for the upcoming November election of the "DNR" head. The first is being lobbied by the FSB bloc, the second - by the Presidential Administration".
"Representatives of the special services propose to reintroduce the candidacy of Vitaliy Zakharchenko, ex-minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the time of Yanukovych. He comes from Donetsk himself, has the authority in the DNR, including because he ordered the crackdown of the Maidan", - the Telegram message said.
