President Poroshenko considers unacceptable the rejection of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. He stated this today during the presentation of the new head of the Kiev Regional State Administration – reports LIGABusinessInform.
"Position on the peace plan. Some leaders of the political forces have just said that we should build a wall and fence off (the temporarily occupied regions of Donbass - Ed.), to give Donetsk and Luhansk regions, part of the sovereign territory of Ukraine, our land to the enemy. The position of Ukrainian land spreading is unacceptable for me. On the contrary, we must unite and fight for the return of Ukraine in Donbass", - he said.
Poroshenko stressed that he had the same position in respect of Crimea, occupied by Russia.
"No matter what intentions are used to cover the steps on the transfer of Ukrainian territory - I will not allow this and ask support of the deputies of local councils, the Verkhovna Rada and the Ukrainian people", - he said.
As previously reported, the leader of the Samopomich faction Oleg Berezyuk noted that Samopomich insisted on the temporary isolation of the occupied territories, because it "is a prerequisite for the economic, social and political stability of the state" in the meeting with co-rapporteurs of the PACE Monitoring Committee Jordi Xucla and Axel Fischer.
