The European Parliament has supported by an overwhelming majority the provision of the fourth macro-financial assistance program worth EUR 1 billion to Ukraine, President Petro Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page.
"The overwhelming majority of the deputies supported the proposal of the European Commission to allocate a new program of EU macro-financial assistance to Ukraine worth EUR 1 billion. Thanks to all the friends of Ukraine in the European Parliament and European institutions for unity in supporting Ukraine! This is another evidence of our real progress on the reform path", - said Poroshenko.
"I am waiting for the final decision from the Council of the European Union (EU) in the near term", - he added.
