Since Tuesday morning, one Ukrainian soldier lost his life, and another two suffered combat injuries, the Joint Operation Force Staff reported.
"Over the past 24 hours, the situation remained tense. The fighting intensified after 16:00 and continued in all sectors", - the report said.
Russian-occupation forces violated the ceasefire regime 45 times, using heavy weaponry in 17 cases.
"During the hostilities, one Ukrainian defender was killed, two others were wounded and promptly hospitalized", - the report said.
At about 06:00 on May 15, again ignoring the norms of international humanitarian law, the occupiers opened fire from 82mm mortars at the village of Novhorodske.
In Luhansk, the tensest situation was observed outside Troitske and Novozvanivka. In Donetsk region, the units of the joint forces carried out active defensive activity in the area of Zaitseve, Zalizne, Verkhniotoretske, Pisky. The enemy also received an adequate response in Mariupol direction near Talakivka and Shyrokyne.
According to intelligence data, the enemy lost two fighters over the past day, while three others were wounded.
Since the beginning of Wednesday, May 16, intensity of fighting has decreased. The enemy uses only small arms. No casualties among the Ukrainian military were reported as of 07:00 Kyiv time.
