Moscow and Washington have not yet held negotiations on the settlement of situation in Ukraine. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin, - RBC reports.
"Now we have a certain pause, but Russia expects that this pause will be time-limited. We are interested in interrupting it", — Karasin said. He noted that "the desire of both parties is needed" in order to establish new contacts.
In this regard, there is not even an "approximate time frame" for the next meeting of presidential aide Vladislav Surkov and U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker. Karasin did not name the reason for the "pause" in contacts with the USA on the situation in Ukraine.
