The occupation authorities in certain districts of the Donetsk oblast expect that a roadmap for servicing the infrastructure of Vodafone mobile operator will be developed in Minsk on the territory that is not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. This was stated by so-called "chairman" of the fake "people's council of the DNR" Denis Pushilin", - separatist media reports.

"Now there is an understanding that a kind of roadmap will be developed, which will imply the importation of new and repair of old equipment", — Pusilin said.

He is convinced that the mechanisms of payment of electricity and rental of premises in the occupied territory by the Ukrainian operator will be discussed in Minsk as well. The occupation authorities intend to seek that payments come to the "republican" accounts.

As previously reported, on January 11, Vodafone (MTS) mobile communication was disconnected throughout the occupied territory of Donbass. On January 19, the connection was restored in the occupied part of the Luhansk oblast, but it did not work in CDDO. This situation proved to be useful for Phoenix, an internal mobile operator of the "DNR", created on the equipment stolen from Kyivstar. Its functionality is limited to the occupied territory of the Donetsk oblast and it does not work properly due to an influx of users.

Only on April 28, the Vodafone (MTS) mobile communication was restored in the occupied settlements of the Donetsk oblast. Before that, Vodafone employees had visited the occupied Donetsk for appraisals.
