50 people were detained as a result of clashes between the law enforcers and protesters near the Verkhovna Rada. This was reported on the air of 112.ua by Head of Kyiv Police Andriy Kryshchenko.

According to him, starting early morning, the police was supposed to conduct an investigation in the tent city, according to the decision of the court. "Resistance began, (the protesters) started burning tires. The police took measures for ensuring the conduction of the investigative measures. The emergency service quickly extinguished the tires. At the moment, it is known that six people out of those who were at the tent city went to get medical help. Also, four police officers were injured. In total, fifty people were detained", – Kryshchenko noted.

He added that now the police officers started the investigation in the tent city.

It is noted that measures of investigation are carried out under two criminal procedures: the events of February 27 near the Parliament, when 14 police officers were wounded, and the events near the October palace in 2017, when police officers were also wounded. As to the events of February 27, a few protesters were informed about suspicion.

"The inspection (of the tent city) continues, a few objects that resemble grenades were seized. Molotov cocktails were pre-made, as well as some sticks sharpened", – Kryshchenko added.
