The "DPR" stated that the influenza virus (strain "California") was the result of leakage from certain secret laboratory near Kharkov. This was stated by the so-called deputy "Commander of the Corps of the Ministry of Defense of the DPR" Eduard Basurin at the press conference.
According to him, the alleged intelligence of the "DPR" recorded "the fact of research involving US military personnel in the closed laboratory in Shelkostantsiya village, located 30 km from Kharkov."
"According to our information, leakage of the deadly flu of California strain happened there," - said Eduard Basurin.
As previously reported, Eduard Basurin holds regular "briefings" for the separatist and Russian media, at which he announces "sensational" information about Ukraine and the Ukrainian army, which is not confirmed by facts. Militants call some data of "intelligence of the DPR" as sources of their fakes.
