The leader of the terrorist "DNR" Alexander Zakharchenko announced the possibility of introducing "external control" over mobile operator Vodafone-Ukraine in the occupied territory. This is stated on the website of the "DNR".
Earlier it was stated that due to cable damage, MTS mobile communication (Vodafone-Ukraine) does not work in the occupied territory.
"However, I want to assure you that we will successfully respond to this challenge - the relevant actions are already underway. If it is necessary, we will be able to introduce external management there", -Zakharchenko said.
As previously reported, on January 11, Vodafone (MTS) mobile communication was disconnected throughout the occupied territory of Donbass. Prior to this, the mobile operator stated that it was going to transfer all its subscribers who live in occupied territory of the Donetsk and the Luhansk oblasts to "Smartphone Standard" tariff, which provides daily subscription fee of $0.11. This was explained by the inability of normal maintenance in the uncontrolled territories.
