Disruptions to MTS mobile communication (Vodafone-Ukraine) are observed in a number of occupied settlements in the Donetsk oblast. This is reported by users in social networks.
"13.18 Mts fell-Donetsk, Zhdanivka, Ilovaisk, Debaltseve, Horlivka, Makiivka"; "It does not work in Petrivka too"; "Snizhne is also without connection", - the users write.
At the same time, the words of the so-called "communications minister" of the DNR Viktor Yatsenko that interruptions with the connection occurred because the MTS cable, "going towards Olenivka", was cut off allegedly by the AFU, are quoted in the separatist publics. "Actually, there is no MTS connection, Experts are now looking for the possibility of restoration", - his words are quoted.
As previously reported, from January 9, Vodafone Ukraine mobile operator switches all its subscribers who live in occupied territory of the Donetsk and the Luhansk oblasts to "Smartphone Standard" tariff, which provides a daily subscription fee of $0.11. This is explained by the inability of normal maintenance in the uncontrolled territories.
