Military sappers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have unmined almost 38 hectares of the ATO territory since the beginning of December, having defused about 1000 explosive items. This was stated by the spokesman for the Ministry of Defence, Colonel Alexander Motuzyanyk at the briefing, LOT reported.
"Since the beginning of December, sappers of the Armed Forces have cleared almost 38 hectares of the ATO zone area from the mines, having neutralized about 1000 explosive devices", - Motuzyanyk said.
According to him, since the beginning of the ATO, the engineering and demining divisions of the Ukrainian army have rendered harmless more than 176,000 mine explosive devices and cleared 3,613 hectares from explosive objects in the territory of the Donetsk and the Luhansk oblasts.
