The leaders of the so-called "LDNR" refused to meet with the first deputy head of the OSCE special monitoring mission to Ukraine, Alexander Hug. Today he told this during a Skype briefing from the Donetsk oblast.

He recalled that today is the 5th day of his trip to the Donbass. "The leaders of the armed formations refused to meet with me, which says a lot about their mood for dialogue", - the first deputy head of the mission said.

A.Hug also informed about the obstacles to the OSCE observers in fulfilling their mandate.

"Over 500 observers work in the Donbass, we have 17 offices (posts - Ed.). At night, the mission members conduct surveillance using cameras installed in 11 locations. On October 4, a member of the so-called "LNR" tried to disable the camera installed in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska using laser. For five hours the camera could not fix anything. The question is what the so-called "LNR" tried to hide?", - Hug said, demonstrating photographs confirming the incident.
