Almost all combat military units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been put on standby for verification, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces reports.
"In order to check the issues of readiness and the fulfillment of tasks, almost all the military units of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been placed in operational readiness", - the report said.
It is noted that a call will be made for training camps of reservists of the operational reserve of the first and second stages for completing these military units.
"Particular attention is paid to the ability of military units to work with the reserve personnel and organize comprehensive support. A number of individual training classes will be held with the reservists", - the General Staff emphasizes.
As previously reported, Russia stated that about 13,000 servicemen from Russia and Belarus and nearly 700 military equipment will be used in the military exercises Zapad-2017, which will be held on September 14-20 in Belarus, the Baltic Sea, western Russia and Kaliningrad. Russia claimed that the exercises are "defensive in nature".
