Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy will continue to seek supporters of the decision on the introduction of a visa regime with Russia. He said this at a briefing after the Coordination Board of the Parliament today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"I, for one, welcome the NSDC decision to introduce biometric passports. I am also a member of the National Security and Defence Council, so I want to say that this is the right step, which is aimed at limiting the uncontrolled entry of Russian citizens to Ukraine. At the same time, I want to say that this issue does not remove the relevance of introducing full-fledged visas with citizens of the Russian Federation", - he said.

"I keep this issue on the watch list and I will continue to look for supporters of this decision. And I hope that we will be able to find a positive decision", - Parubiy added.

It was reported earlier that from January 1, 2018, mandatory biometric control for all foreigners crossing the Ukrainian border will start its work in Ukraine.
