President Petro Poroshenko believes that the increase in liquefied gas prices in Ukraine is part of the hybrid warfare that Russia is waging. He said this today during a working visit to Lviv oblast, - Livyj Bereh reports.

“You know that in conditions of hybrid warfare, when the main supplier of the liquefied gas was Russia, it was decided to suspend or limit the supply. Just as in the situation with the natural gas. We must learn to live in conditions of hybrid warfare. We must establish our own production of liquefied gas to compensate the blocked volume from Russia”, - he said.

“In the second half of September, the price for liquefied gas must be decreased”, - the Head of State noted.

As previously reported, the average retail prices for liquefied gas on August 29, compared to August 28, increased by 1.4% to $0.62/liter. At the same time in late July, the average retail prices for liquefied gas amounted to $0.40/liter. Thus, for a month the prices for liquefied gas increased by an average of $0.22/ liter.

"Consulting Group A-95" explains the increase by supply shortages.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman instructed the Ministry of Energy and law enforcement agencies to study the reasons for the increase in the price of liquefied gas, as well as take measures to reduce the cost of fuel and support competition in the market.
