The SBU registers a significant activation of Russian special services in the territory of Ukraine. This was said by the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.
"In these latter days, the SBU registers a significant activation of Russian special services in the territory of our state. Subversive activities manifests itself in internal destabilization, active work of reconnaissance and subversive groups, attempts to carry out sabotage and terrorist acts", - he reported.
"The SBU does not consider this activation to be accidental. We clearly understand the reasons for this activity of the Russian special services. We have an operational mission on further escalation of the intelligence and terrorist activities of Russian special services in the territory of our state. The FSB of the Russian Federation continues to send subversive groups to Ukraine in order to carry out terrorist acts in our territory", - the head of the SBU added.
According to him, the main objectives of these groups are strategic facilities, as well as the assassination of certain social and political figures.
"We have been forestalled a number of such terrorist attacks", - Hrytsak noted.
