The occupation regime created a number of labour camps in the Donbass territory, which use slave labour of up to 10 thousand prisoners. This is stated on Deutschlandfunk German radio station website which published the layout of camps, - LIGA.net reports.

The source refers to the "data of human rights defenders", who monitored the human rights situation in the CDDLO.

"The human rights group talks about the "GULAG with the consent of Moscow" and estimates the incomes of militants from compulsory labour of prisoners at 500 thousand euros a month", - the radio station reports, adding that the militant leaders "do not comment" on the situation.

The "LNR / DNR" terrorist organizations use the funds received from slave labour to maintain the occupation regime in the region.

There are camps in Luhansk (1470 people), Brianka (470), Alchevsk (215), Perevalsk (500), Petrovske (130), Lozovske (320), Valianovske (ex-Leninske) (550), Vakhrushevo-2 (780) and Voznesenivka (ex-Chervonopartyzansk).

As human rights defenders note, the majority of people in such camps were convicted before the spring of 2014.

As the source writes, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Valeriya Lutkovska stated that the government of Ukraine cannot help its citizens in these camps, while Ukrainian laws are not in force there.
