The customs of the Russian Federation officially recognized the shipment of anthracite from captured mines in the Donbass. Relevant statistics was released on the website of the Southern Customs Administration of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, - Interfax-Ukraina reports.

It is indicated that in May 2017, 58,652 tons of anthracite worth $3.14 million were shipped from Ukraine to the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, in January-May - 236,568 tons worth $13,044 million.

As of May, all Ukrainian mines that extracted anthracite were located in the occupied areas of Donbass and under the control of militants. On the territories controlled by the authorities of Ukraine this type of fuel is not produced now. According to the information of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, no one applied to the department for approving licenses for the export of anthracite in 2017.

The statistics of the Southern Customs Administration of the Federal Customs Service of Russia also indicated that in May 2017, 24,408 tons of anthracite worth $2.146 million were exported to Ukraine from the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, 236,296 tons of anthracite worth $16,293 were exported to Ukraine in January-May.
