Three people died from pneumonia in the part of Donetsk region occupied by the militants in the period since January 8th. The so-called "Minister of Health" of the self-proclaimed "DPR" Victor Kuchkovoy told journalists about that today, - reports the DAN separatist website.
"As of today there have been three fatal cases of pneumonia" - said Kuchkovoy.
According to him, all the three cases were reported in different cities - Donetsk, Makeyevka and Gorlovka.
"At the moment, the diagnostic is taking place and after the PCR (polymerase chain reaction - Ed.) it will be known whether the pneumonia connected with influenza virus. But presumably it has been diagnosed that it is connected "- said Kuchkovoy.
As noted, since January 8th, 2016 an increase in the number of appealsof the residents to the doctors has been observed in Donetsk and Gorlovka with suspected ARVI (fever, sickliness) – on average by 30% more compared to previous holidays.
