The President Petro Poroshenko has decided to close his official pages in Odnoklassniki and VKontakte social networks. The head of the Ukrainian state wrote about this on his official pages in these social networks.
"Ukrainian Internet providers should stop providing access to Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki, Yandex and other Russian services. All official pages of the President in these services will be closed", - he wrote.
According to Poroshenko, the presidential team used the pages in some Russian social networks to influence opponents and for counterpropaganda.
The president retained his accounts in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube social networks.
As previously reported, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had brought the decision of the National Security and Defence Council to impose a ban on providers to provide Internet access services to Mail.ru, Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki, as well as to the Yandex services into force.
