Representatives of the Ukrainian and Russian sides of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) came under militant, according to the press service of the Facebook page of the ATO Headquarters. The shelling was carried out to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the headquarters said.
It is noted that the militants, in order to achieve their own goals, neglect all international security guarantees, including the framework of Minsk agreements and humanitarian law.
"On May 4, about 18:00, the illegal armed formations of the ORDO fired on the village of Bezimenne and the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces within the JCCC monitoring group, along with the Russian side of the JCCC with the aim of discrediting the government of Ukraine and carrying out provocations against servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine", - the ATO press center reported.
In addition, it is noted that the militants accuse the Armed Forces of Ukraine of using tanks, without having any photo and video evidence.
"Putting on fake charges against the Ukrainian army, the terrorists do not take into account the distances between settlements, neglect the nature of the terrain, the tactical and technical characteristics of weapons, and especially the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine completely withdrew heavy weapons, including tanks, from the demarcation line in accordance with the Minsk agreements", - the message reads.
"By such information actions, unreasoned and unsubstantiated accusations, the illegal formations of certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts are driving themselves into a dead end, confirming the fact that they are the ones who violate all the Minsk commitments regarding the use and withdrawal of banned weapons", - the headquarters said.
