The SSU reports the detention of crew of ZIK television channel near the military unit in the Rivne oblast on suspicion of sabotage. This is reported by the SSU press center.
It is noted that the resident of Rivne noticed a group of unknown persons with technical means for shooting and a quadcopter in the controlled area near the military unit. The citizen, having displayed vigilance, reported the fact to the commander of the unit.
The anti-sabotage military unit operatively arrived to the scene and detained unknown persons who presented themselves as journalists of the "By Roads of War" project of ZIK TV channel. They said that they were carrying out an editorial assignment on the shooting of the forest and the "Tunnel of Love" local tourist site.
Arriving officers of the SSU and the National Police examined the scene of the incident, after which they brought in information about the commission of a criminal offense on the grounds of preparation for sabotage under Part 1 of Art. 14 and Art. 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations, - was noted in the department.
ZIK TV channel confirmed on its website that the survey of members of the crew is being conducted in the building of the SSU in the Rivne oblast at the present time. According to the head of the press group of the SSU Office in the Rivne oblast Inna Iliuchok, members of the crew have not been detained officially, - the statement of the TV channel said.
