The European Parliament is going to address the issue of granting a visa-free regime with the EU for Ukrainian citizens on April 6 in the plenary week which will begin today. This is reported by zn.ua with reference to Interfax.

"The European Parliament recalls that the text of the draft legislation has already been agreed informally with the Council of the EU and is expected to come into force in early June", - the statement said.

As previously reported, the EU Council will finally approve the visa liberalization of the European Union with Ukraine at the meeting on May 11. This way the visa-free regime will come into force in June 2017. The EU Council, the European Parliament and the European Commission conducted earlier a successful trialogue concerning the granting of visa-free regime for Ukraine, having reached a preliminary agreement on the visa liberalization for Ukrainians.
