Serhiy Knyazev became the new head of the National Police of Ukraine. The relevant decision was taken today at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, - the correspondent of OstroV reports.
"There is a suggestion to support and wish success to the new head of the National Police. The decision was taken unanimously," - the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman stated.
Knyazev headed the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine before that.
The Minister of the MIA Arsen Avakov, while presenting the candidacy of Serhiy Knyazev, noted that he has combat experience in ATO zone.
"Serhiy Knyazev has many years of experience in criminal investigation, he made all the way from the detective of Bila Tserkva to the head of the criminal police of the Kiev oblast. Over the past three years Knyazev has successfully led the regional offices of the National Police of Zakarpattia and Rivne oblasts, was the first deputy in the Donetsk oblast", - the Minister reported.
