The Verkhovna Rada appointed date for early elections of the mayor of Krivoy Rog
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed special election of the mayor of Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region on March 27th, 2016, - reported 112.ua
It is noted that in the corresponding draft law №3613 that got votes of 239 deputies.
The law, in particular, provides termination of the powers of Krivoy Rog mayor Yuriy Vilkul, special elections of the mayor on March 27th, 2016 and to make some amendments to the law "On local elections".
The law was adopted with an amendment made during the debate.
After the adoption of the law present deputies began to shout "Thank you" in the session hall. In response, the Speaker of Parliament Vladimir Groisman said: "Colleagues, you shouldn’t have shouted "Shame" yesterday and you shouldn’t shout "Thank you". The deputies did what they thought to be necessary. I ask you just to be tolerant in the future. Thank you ".
As OstroV reported, today the chairmen of parliamentary factions agreed to support the re-election law in Krivoy Rog. Krivoy Rog City Electoral Commission previously announced candidate of the Opposition Bloc, acting Mayor Yuriy Vilkul the winner of the second round of the elections of the mayor. According to the results of vote counting, Vilkul got 49%, its rival, the candidate of the Samopomіch Yuriy Milobog - about 48%. The gap between the candidates is only 752 votes. Samopomіch stated the facts of falsifications in favour of Vilkul.
