A displaced resident will be judged in Dnipro city for while having a deposit of USD 1800, received the state help of USD 200. This is noted in a statement of the prosecutor's office of Dnipropetrovsk region.

The statement also says that "the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office approved and sent to the court an indictment in criminal proceedings brought in respect of the displaced resident from the occupied territory of Ukraine for committing fraud (Part 1, Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)”.

The woman, having moved to Dnipro wrote a pleading letter to the Department of Labour and Social Welfare to grant her a monthly targeted assistance to cover living expenses. Later it turned out that she had a deposit in the amount of USD 1800.

"Knowing that owning such funds on the bank account she won’t receive any state aid, the woman hid this fact and made a false statement, for which during February-July 2016 she illegally obtained from the state USD 200", - the prosecutor's office stated.

Overall, the prosecutor’s office of Dnepropetrovsk region initiated 27 criminal proceedings on the facts of the illegal receipt of state benefits by displaced residents, 16 persons have been notified of suspect. USD 50 thousand of illegally obtained benefits were already repaid to the state budget.
