The President stressed that the goal of the Cabinet of Ministers should be an increase in income and welfare. "The Cabinet of Ministers on the background of the achieved macroeconomic stability and restoration of the economic growth should move from survival policy to the development strategy and from macroeconomic recovery - to economic growth, from the belt-tightening - to stabilization of the household budget and a gradual increase in incomes of Ukrainians," - said Poroshenko.

As previously reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to develop a non-populist mechanism to increase salaries and pensions corresponding to the economy state. According to Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, the government's task is to reform the pay system so that every Ukrainian citizen gets a decent salary. He also noted that the pension system needs changes today. According to Groysman, Ukrainians’ work is undervalued and, therefore, public support should be aimed at stimulating the growth of salaries.
