"Ukraine, together with its global partners, has come closer to a possible end of the war with russia. This is primarily facilitated by the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump," - President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this to journalists, as reported by RBC-Ukraine on October 20.
"We have come closer to a possible end of the war. I’m telling you this for sure. It doesn’t mean it will definitely end, but President Trump has achieved much in the Middle East, and on that momentum, he wants to end russia’s war against Ukraine", - said the Head of State.
According to Zelensky, a strong political demand for ending the war is forming in international negotiations.
"That’s the general mood in the world: let’s put all efforts together and end russia’s war against Ukraine", - he noted.
The President added that Ukraine is actively using this sentiment to increase its pressure on russia both militarily and diplomatically.
"We are taking steps in this direction — ‘Tomahawks’ and so on — these are new measures, and they really put pressure on russia", - Zelensky emphasized.
