“Let it be cut the way it is. It’s cut up right now. I think 78% of the land is already taken by russia”, - said the U.S. president to journalists aboard his Air Force One plane on October 19. According to Donald Trump, this will “help end the war in Ukraine”, reported the Telegram channel “DW Glavnoe” on the morning of October 20.
It is noted that Trump denied the information from an article by The Financial Times published earlier, which claimed that during his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, the American president urged him to give the russian federation all of Donbas, adding that otherwise putin would “destroy” Ukraine.
“They can negotiate something later on down the line. But I said cut and stop at the battle. Go home. Stop fighting, stop killing people”, - the head of the White House also said.
The report recalls that during the meeting between Trump and Zelensky in Washington, the President of Ukraine offered to supply the United States with thousands of Ukrainian drones in exchange for Tomahawk cruise missiles. Trump, however, said that America itself needs the Tomahawks.
