According to the russian oversight agency, thanks to their intervention, 150,000 workers were repaid 12.4 billion rubles in wage arrears. The russian Prosecutor General’s Office also acknowledged that 2.3 billion rubles (USD 28.2 million) of that debt was owed to residents of the so-called “new regions”. *

As previously reported, at the “state” mines of the “LNR”, thousands of miners as of September 2025 had not been paid more than one billion rubles in wages.

* According to Ukrainian law and international law, there are no “new regions” within the russian federation. What the russian authorities call “historic” or “new” territories are in fact annexed oblasts of Ukraine.
