“Deputy Foreign Minister of russia Sergey Ryabkov said that hopes for progress toward a peace agreement with Ukraine have practically run out”, - reports the Telegram channel “BILD na russkom” on October 8.
“Unfortunately, it must be noted that the powerful Anchorage momentum in favor of agreements, through the efforts of opponents and supporters of the war, primarily among Europeans, has largely been exhausted”, - Ryabkov said.
He also warned that a possible transfer of American Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine would represent a “qualitative change in the situation”.
The report recalls that US President Donald Trump this week stated that he will not make a decision on supplies until he receives “clear guarantees” on how exactly Kyiv intends to use the missiles. According to Trump, Washington wants to avoid further escalation of the war between russia and Ukraine.
