“During the massive combined strike on Ukraine in the night of October 5, russia used 549 strike means containing 102,785 foreign-made components — from companies in the USA, China and Taiwan, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the Netherlands”, - President Volodymyr Zelensky said on October 6.
According to him, the deployed strike drones contained about 100,688 foreign-made components, the Iskanders had around 1,500, the Kinzhal missiles 192 components, and the Kalibr missiles 405 components.
“In particular, companies in the United States manufacture converters for Kh-101 missiles and Shahed/Geran-type drones, matrices for these UAVs and Kinzhal missiles, analog-to-digital converters for drones and missiles, as well as microelectronics for missiles. At least 50 units of various microelectronics in each Shahed are made in China and Taiwan. Microcontrollers for UAVs are produced in Switzerland, and microcomputers for drone flight control are made in the UK. Opto-isolation elements for cruise missiles are produced in Japan, and switching connectors in Germany. Additionally, russia uses processors made in the Netherlands, and servos and bearings manufactured in the Republic of Korea”, - the president emphasized.
He noted that Ukraine is preparing new sanctions against those assisting russia and its war.
“We have also submitted proposals to limit supply schemes. Partners have the relevant data for each company and product, and they know exactly how and to what they need to respond. This week, there will be a meeting of the G7 sanctions coordinators, and we expect a systemic solution to ensure the effectiveness of sanctions. It is crucial to stop all sanction evasion schemes, because each such scheme is used by russia to continue killing. The world has the power to stop this”, - Zelensky concluded.
