"Within three weeks, water supply will be restored to the level of July this year. This is not a radical solution, but the minimum needs of people will be met", - said the head of the so-called "infrastructure committee of the people's council of the LNR" Gennadiy Tarakanov, according to the Telegram channel of the pseudo-parliament on October 3.
What exactly the "July level" means, he did not clarify. At the same time, throughout the summer, reports of water shortages have been coming from the "LNR".
Tarakanov noted that in the "LNR" now "thousands of people live without water". At the same time, the program for restoring most of the water supply systems in the region is scheduled for 2026–2028.
The "parliamentarian" also stated that "the problem of water supply in certain areas of the republic will be resolved after the construction of the Svetlychanske water intake unit" – without specifying a date.
