The European Commission finally accepted on Friday the sixth report on Ukraine's implementation of the requirements of the Action Plan of the visa liberalization. It is reported by Evropeiska Pravda.

Tthere are fragments of the document, which is now being prepared for publication. The report was approved at the board meeting of the European Commission on December 18th.

"Taking into account the results of the monitoring and reporting carried out after the beginning of the visa dialogue in October 2008, the Commission considers that Ukraine has fulfilled all the criteria set out in four blocks of the second phase of the APVL", - stated the conclusions of the "visa-free report" by the EC.

The document stresses that granting Ukraine visa-free regime was possible due to the special political relations between Kiev and Brussels.

"Taking into account the relations between Ukraine and the EU, the European Commission will give (to the EU Council) a legislative proposal at the beginning of 2016 to amend regulation 539/2001", - concludes the EC.

In the mentioned EU regulation there is a list of countries whose citizens do not need a visa to enter. They are all the European Union countries except Britain and Ireland.
