The 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" of the National Guard of Ukraine confirms that it has passed the inspection and is authorized to receive weapons from the USA. This was announced on the brigade's Telegram channel.
"U.S. Embassy staff in Ukraine have confirmed that the 12th Special Purpose Brigade 'Azov' of the National Guard of Ukraine has passed the inspection required by U.S. law and is eligible to receive security assistance from the United States. This is the result of long and meticulous work by 'Azov' soldiers, who systematically worked to counteract the effective results of russian propaganda", - the statement said.
"We are grateful to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the command of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States of America, and everyone who openly or behind the scenes contributed to overcoming this ban. The lies about 'Azov' that the kremlin regime had spread in the West for years have now suffered a crushing blow", - the brigade emphasized.
"The acquisition of Western weapons and training from the USA will not only enhance the combat capability of 'Azov', but most importantly, it will help save the lives and health of the brigade's personnel. This marks a new chapter in the history of our unit. 'Azov' is becoming more powerful, more professional, and more dangerous to the occupiers. Glory to Ukraine!" - the brigade declared.
It was previously reported that the USA has lifted the ban on the use of American weapons by the fighters of the "Azov" brigade.
