One person was killed and three were injured on May 27 as the police in the Donetsk oblast documented the consequences of the latest russian shelling. The regional police reported this on Telegram on May 28.

"The enemy army carried out 2,358 strikes on the region. Nine settlements were under russian fire: the cities of Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Lyman, Chasiv Yar, and the villages of Verkhniokamianske, Kalynivka, Molocharka, Novoselydivka, and Tarasivka. Thirty civilian objects were damaged—17 residential buildings, educational institutions, administrative buildings, enterprises, vehicles, and critical infrastructure. Lyman sustained six strikes. The occupiers dropped four bombs on the city and also shelled it with the Smerch multiple launch rocket system.
