President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that if the Defense Forces were to return to the front line as it was before the start of the major war in 2022, dictator vladimir putin might return all the occupied territories. He disclosed this in an interview with CBS News, as reported by Liga.
According to him, for Ukraine to win, it needs weapons from the West, stronger sanctions against russia, and the blocking of all economic ties with moscow by its partners.
He noted that in such a scenario, Ukrainian forces would not necessarily have to return to the borders of 1991; it would be sufficient to reclaim the territories occupied by russia after the start of the major war.
Zelensky believes that if dictator putin loses these lands, he will lose confidence in countries that "doubt" and will also lose strength within the russian federation.
"Only then will putin be ready for dialogue. At that point, the demand of the civilized world to him should be the liberation of all Ukrainian lands", - stated the head of state.
As previously reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky predicts that russia may launch a new offensive in late May or June, and by that time, it is crucial for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to prepare.
