A fire continues at Ukraine's largest hydroelectric power station, the Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) in Zaporizhzhia, due to a russian missile strike as of the morning of March 22. This was reported by Ukrhydroenergo on Telegram.

"There has been a hit on Ukraine's largest hydroelectric power station, the DniproHES in Zaporizhzhia. The inhuman aggressors, having already caused destruction at the Kakhovka HPP, are now attempting to create a new environmental disaster by cynically targeting the hydro facilities of the Dnipro HPP and its dam. Currently, a fire is ongoing at the station. Emergency services and power engineers are on-site, dealing with the aftermath of numerous airstrikes", - the message at 7:39 a.m. stated.

It was noted that there is no threat of dam breach, and the situation at the station's dam is under control.

Earlier reports on social media mentioned an attack on the Dnipro HPP and a hit on a trolleybus passing through the dam.
