Rashists are using phosphorus projectiles to target tanks with mazut (heavy fuel oil) at the Avdiivka coke and chemical plant. The press service of the 3rd Separate Storm Brigade and the commander of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 3rd Separate Storm Brigade, with the call sign "Var", reported this on Telegram on February 16.
"Despite repelling tank attacks, heavy battles against superior enemy forces, hundreds of enemy artillery strikes, multiple rocket launchers, thermobaric weapons, and bombardments, the enemy has done what was expected from b*stards like them. They ignited tanks with mazut using phosphorus charges stored at the Avdiivka coke and chemical plant. The burning of this toxic substance has extremely serious consequences for the health and even the lives of our soldiers. The wind and pressure changes, so the fumes have spread across the entire area and around the plant. Cases of poisoning among personnel are constantly increasing", - wrote "Var".
"Up to 60 aviation bombs - day and night, enemy artillery and MLRS shelling, continuous attacks on armored vehicles, and enemy infantry invasions. The occupiers are using phosphorus shells that cause the tanks with mazut to catch fire. Toxic smog spreads across the entire plant's territory", - writes the press service of the 3rd Separate Storm Brigade.
It is noted that Ukrainian defenders continue to resist the enemy, defending and inflicting record losses on the enemy.
