Reports circulating on the internet suggest that during the attack on the Belbek airfield in occupied Crimea on January 31, russian Lieutenant General Alexander Tatarenko might have been eliminated. Several russian "war correspondents" have mentioned his alleged death.
According to these sources, 10 occupiers, including Tatarenko, who purportedly commanded an aviation squadron, were eliminated during the strike.
However, the Liga publication reported that according to publicly available information, the general was relieved of his position as the commander of the 14th Air and Missile Defense Army of the Central Military District of the russian federation and retired from military service due to reaching the maximum age limit in August 2020.
