The number of casualties from the enemy strike on a hotel in Kharkiv increased to 11 people as of the morning of January 11, according to the National Police and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

During the elimination of the consequences of the enemy strike, 2 injured individuals were rescued and 19 people were evacuated by the State Emergency Service. Preliminary information indicates that a total of 11 people, including hotel staff and guests, were affected.

"On January 10, around 22:30, explosions occurred in Kharkiv. Two hits on the hotel in the Kyivskyi district were recorded. As of 1:30 on January 11, 11 people were injured, including a 37-year-old journalist from the Turkish Anadolu publication. Nine were taken to hospitals, and assistance was provided on-site to the remaining two", - clarified the National Police.

According to Volodymyr Tymoshko, the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv oblast, the target of the russians was specifically foreign journalists covering events related to russia's military aggression against Ukraine.

"The hotel building was partially damaged as a result of the shelling. A fire started at the point of impact. Cars in the parking lot were on fire", - the statement also mentioned.




Earlier reports indicated that during the shelling of Kharkiv on the evening of January 10, 10 people were injured, including journalists from the Turkish publication.
