Due to a voltage surge, the occupied city of Mariupol has been left without water. Local residents are reporting this on social media.
It is noted that energy workers attempted to switch the city to electricity supplies from the Zaporizhzhia oblast to the Donetsk oblast, which caused a sharp increase in voltage in the network.
It is reported that pumps at the "Water of Donbas" facilities were disconnected to prevent an accident. According to other information, the pumps were not disconnected in time, and they burned out.
The occupation authorities of Mariupol have not officially commented on the situation.
As previously reported, in the occupied Donetsk, due to a voltage drop, elevators and boilers were shut down, and the city's water supply was also interrupted.
