The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, visited the Avdiivka and Kupiansk directions, which are currently the hottest areas on the front. He announced this on October 19 in Telegram.

"In war, there are no easy sections of the front, only those that are more challenging. Right now, that's Avdiivka. Here, the enemy doesn't cease its attempts to breach our defense and encircle the city", - he wrote.

Zaluzhnyi explained that the enemy is actively employing assault units, deploying a large number of armored vehicles, using aviation and artillery. Despite it all, our soldiers continue heroically repelling the attacks, destroying enemy personnel and equipment.

"Together with the commanders of brigades carrying out tasks in the Avdiivka direction, we have determined the sequence of our actions, taking into account the constantly changing operational situation, and discussed the top priorities for the units", - added the Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He also conducted work on the Kupiansk direction, where the occupiers continue their offensive actions, and noted that our defenders are holding the line steadfastly under extremely challenging conditions.

It was previously reported that the delivery of humanitarian aid to Avdiivka was halted due to the escalation on the front.
