U.S. President Joe Biden stated that russia cannot be allowed to occupy Ukraine because the next countries in line could be nations like Poland. In an interview with CBS on Sunday, the American leader also said that the United States is capable of supporting both Ukraine and Israel simultaneously, according to Polskie Radio.
Speaking on the popular program 60 Minutes, Joe Biden asserted that one of his goals was to prevent putin, who had committed war crimes, from occupying an independent country like Ukraine, which shares borders with U.S. NATO allies.
"Imagine what it would be like right now if he had succeeded. Would some major war have erupted in Europe that we would not have been drawn into? We don't want that to happen", - Biden said.
The American president expressed his belief that putin would not stop at Ukraine and could potentially target countries like Poland, which would draw the United States into the conflict.
Joe Biden emphasized that the United States has the potential to address both global crises, in Israel and Ukraine.
"We are the most powerful country in world history. We are capable of handling both situations and maintaining our defense capability on the international stage", - he stated.
Biden added that his goal is to ensure the preservation of democracy, in which Ukraine plays a crucial role.
