Occupiers shelled Kherson city center in the morning, resulting in casualties and damage
Russian invaders shelled the center of Kherson on the morning of October 2nd. This was reported by the Chairman of the Oblast Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, on Telegram.
"Today, around 5 a.m., the enemy shelled the center of the city of Kherson. A fire broke out at the impact site, which was promptly extinguished by firefighters. Information about the extent of the damage is being determined", - the statement said.
Subsequently, the head of the press office of the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, reported during a national Ukrainian news TV marathon that there were hits on civilian infrastructure as a result of the morning attack.
"In Kherson, almost no one slept today. The center of the city was shelled in the morning. There are casualties. Many houses have also been damaged or destroyed", - he said.
At the same time, the regional administration informed that Russian invaders had shelled the Kherson oblast 71 times the previous day, using 392 rounds from mortars, artillery, Grad rockets, tanks, anti-tank guided missiles, aviation, and drones. In the city of Kherson, the enemy fired 20 shells.
Russian military struck residential quarters in populated areas of the region, the territory of a plant, and a tractor brigade in the Kherson district, a shop, buildings of educational and medical institutions, and a critical infrastructure object in the Beryslav district.
Due to russian aggression in the Kherson oblast, one person has died, and six more, two of whom are children, have been injured.
It was previously reported that on the night of October 1st, the russians dropped 10 aviation bombs on the Kherson oblast.
