The Verkhovna Rada has appointed former head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko (on the photo), to the position of Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU). This was announced by Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of parliament from the Holos parliamentary faction, in his Telegram channel on September 6.
According to him, Resolution No. 10015, "On the Appointment of Pavlo Kyrylenko as the Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine", was supported by 250 MPs.
It was previously reported that Rustem Umerov was appointed as the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine by the parliament as well.
It was also previously reported that Donetsk activists have stated that they will only recognize the new head of the oblast under specific conditions because they are "tired of lies".
