Four individuals, including the Deputy Head of the Desnianskyi District State Administration, have been arrested in Kyiv in connection with the tragedy involving a closed bomb shelter. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, three officials and a security guard from a medical institution have been detained.
"Four individuals have been arrested: the Deputy Head of the Desnianskyi District State Administration, the director of the medical institution, their deputy, and a security guard", - the statement said.
Three detained officials are expected to be charged with negligence resulting in grave consequences (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code), while the security guard will face charges of endangerment resulting in death (Part 3 of Article 135 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code).
As reported, on the night of June 1, russian forces shelled Kyiv with Iskander missiles. Three people were killed in the attack while attempting to seek shelter in the clinic, which turned out to be closed.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko has initiated the suspension of Dmytro Ratnikov, the Chairman of the Desnianskyi District State Administration, from performing his duties.
