Eight foreign ships arrived at the ports of Ukraine to assist in the transportation of agricultural products. This was reported on July 11 by the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which ensures the safety of such ships.

This refers to the transportation of agricultural products by civil ships through the mouth of the Bystry of the Danube-Black Sea river channel. According to representatives of the Navy, the use of this channel became possible due to the liberation of Snake Island from russian invaders.

This is due to the fact that the island is of strategic importance, since it allows to control the surface and partly the air situation in the south of Ukraine. Previously, the occupiers used this to block the movement of civilian ships in the southern part of our country.

It is noted that previously, global companies used only the Sulina channel. This led to the accumulation of a large number of ships and a significant congestion of the channel. At the same time, the Navy of the AFU noted that most of the ports of our country still remain closed, and some of them are occupied.

Let us recall that earlier, information appeared that the first ship with grain during the war would soon sail from the port of Odesa to Turkey.
