President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has become the most influential person in 2022 according to a poll of readers of the Time American magazine.
According to the magazine, more than 3.3 million readers (5% of the votes) voted for the Ukrainian leader.
"When russian troops launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February, Zelensky, a comedian who had no political experience before being elected president of Ukraine in 2019, stepped onto the world stage and rallied leaders to support Ukraine", - the magazine writes.
Second place, according to the poll, was taken by CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk (3.5% of the votes). It is noted that this year, the American billionaire continued to get into the headlines, in particular, against the backdrop of the purchase of Twitter for $44 billion.
