As a result of the full-scale armed aggression of russia, the largest number of affected children was recorded in the Donetsk oblast - 139 people. This was reported in Telegram on May 12 by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
In total, 643 children are known to have suffered in Ukraine as a result of a full-scale russian invasion. As of the morning of May 12, 2022, the official number of child victims has not changed - 226. The data regarding the injured has not changed either - 417.
"These figures are not final, since work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories", - the Office of the Prosecutor General notes.
Children suffered the most in the Donetsk oblast - 139, Kyiv - 116, Kharkiv - 99, Chernihiv - 68, Kherson - 46, Luhansk - 45, Mykolaiv - 44, Zaporizhzhia - 28, Sumy - 17, in the city of Kyiv - 16 and the Zhytomyr oblast - 15.
As a result of daily bombardments and shelling of Ukrainian cities and villages by the armed forces of the russian federation, 1 721 educational institutions were damaged. At the same time, 139 of them were completely destroyed.
